Visit Us at Crufts 2012!

We're on the road to the NEC, Birmingham today, in a car packed tighter than a tin of sardines!
Come visit us at Stand number 172 in Hall 4 from the 8th-11th of March.
Stop by for a chat and get a feel of the product yourself - we've even got some special gifts for our lovely Dicky Disciples.

See you there!

Win a Dickybag!

If you were a Dickybag what colour and style would you be and why?  Would you be a pink Dickybag because you are bright and cheery for example? Do you have a pair of shoes that match perfectly?

Write a really entertaining (and clean) piece about what kind of Dickybag you would be and post it on our Facebook Fanpage wall.

THEN... ask all your friends on your friends list who have dogs to come and" like" our page! (after they "like" us they need to say hi on the wall and mention you so we know they came through you).

You will get scored out of 10 for your post and you'll get a point for each new friend who follows us (as long as they mention your name on the wall too).  The person with the most points will get the dickybag of their choosing! :))
Winners will be picked after 21st November.

Good luck!!!

(by the way, I'd be a little gold one because I'm small and perfectly formed and it would match the colour of my halo so well! :)

On the perils of pooch poop

Here is an excellent article taken from The Times Online, written by Carol Midgley, in which she share her hatred for inconsiderate dog owners.

I don't give a monkeys...

…about dog dirt refusniks. Did you read that story about the thief who snatched an elderly woman’s handbag? Opening up his prize, he found it contained only one thing: dog s***.

This is a beautiful helping of just desserts, and possibly presents the first legitimate use of the term “turd burglar”, but I know what you’re thinking. Why was an old dear carting around a bag of canine faeces? Aren’t there special bins for this? Well, yes. But you can never find any...

Keep Britain Tidy

Dog Poo Fairy - Keep Britian TidyWe our proud to be partnering anti-litter charity Keep Britain Tidy in their new campaign targeting irresponsible dog owners.

Dicky Bag are supplying 20,000 biodegradable dog poo bags to help back the campaign and with a combined effort of numerous local authorities and an organization with such high profile as Keep Britain Tidy we believe that it will make a substantial difference to the dog littering problem in the UK.

Dog Poo Fairy

Fortunately they have the help of a ‘Dog Poo Fairy’ to spread the message to educating pet owners to pick up after their dog and a lesser known fact that you can use any bin to throw away this mess, not just dog fouling bins.

Keep an eye out for the fun Posters and Stickers reminding everyone what they need to do with their dogs number two's!

High Street Dreams

Now Showing On BBC One!BBC One High Street Dreams

We were lucky enough to be involved with the recent BBC program, featuring Jo Malone (cosmetics and toiletries queen) and her business partner Nick Leslau.  Our website designers Channel Digital sent us the initial contact information which they had received from Cornwall Chamber of Commerce.  The production company wanted to hear from new and innovative companies to feature in their new production.  We sent of our details, not necessarily expecting to hear any more, especially as I was my usual dry witted self. Just goes to prove production companies do have a sense of humour!

The Call Up

To our surprise we got a call from Sarah one of the production team at the end of November, telling us that they were keen to see us for an initial interview the next weekend, a whole 2 days time.  Bearing in mind that we live in Cornwall, a mere 300 miles away, run 3 businesses and have 4 kids and 2 dogs we panicked slightly but with much planning and help from great friends both in Cornwall and Essex we were able to make the meeting, with all 4 kids in tow.

Just come back from a somewhat windy and sometimes wet holiday in Devon. I asked for the dicky bag to be delivered to the rental property we were staying in. They were there ready and waiting (I purchased two, one for a friend). Read more

Top Rated Product!

I recently purchased a dicky bag (dog poo bag!) online as it seemed the answer to all of my poop scooping problems (no bins on walks, clutching a tesco carrier bag blatantly full of crap - you know how it is! )

Excellent product

We love these messages - even the professionals are using our dog walking bags! Smile

"To the Dicky bag team.  I am a professional dog walker and  have bought products before which you use to carry your dogs No2's in and have given up with them with in a couple of days as they have always been so impractical to use.  I must say I have been using my Dicky bag for 3 weeks now and love it!

I like the idea of carrying spare bags in the top although I take them off the roll before hand and push them in to the slot.  The bag is discreet and so much better than when I had pooh bags swinging from my hip! Read more
It's hard to stop people borrowing it! I won a Dicky bag at alocal dog show, having never heard of the company before I didn't know just how great this product was. We take our bag to every show, walk and journey and it really is brilliant. You wouldn't know what it contained and I honestly couldn't live without our now! My mum and sister are having one each for christmas they are amazed. I keep having to ask for my bag back from my sister who tries stealing it on a regular basis!
Thanks to all at Dicky Bags for making our life easier, less embarrasing and more convient. Dicky bags make being a responsible dog owner stylish and cool!
