Poor Cesar Milan and “Daddy” dog!

After reading an article on www.dogmagazine.net it seems that arguably the most well known dog trainer in the world Cesar Milan who is famous for saying “It’s not about the dog. … It’s always about the owner” is facing a ban on his beloved dog “Daddy”.

A ban in the US (Ontario’s 2005 Dog Owners Liability Act) has banned the breeding, sale and ownership of pit bulls.

The ban also covers Staffordshire bull terriers and any dog with the “appearance and physical characteristics substantially similar to those breeds”.

If you are a current owner of a pit bull who lives in an area covered by this ban, your dog has to be neutered, spayed and kept muzzled and leashed in public at all times.

What are your views on this blanket ban that treats all dogs with certain physical characteristics in the same way?

We’d love to hear what you think!
