Happy Howl-oween!

Hey folks,

There's been a lot happening over here at Dicky Towers since we last wrote to you. Firstly, please allow me to introduce myself! My name is Cara and I've just joined the Dicky Bag team. I'm still learning the ropes, but working with such a great company is an absolute pleasure, so you can expect to hear from me every so often with the latest news and offers.

As you know, All Hallow's Eve is almost here. At the risk of frivolously using seasonal puns to entice you, we do indeed have a spooktactular Howl-oween Trick or Treat special under our cloaks - order a Dicky Bag on October 31st and you'll get a little surprise in the post. Naughty or nice? You'll just have to wait and see! Our extra large bags are even big enough to accommodate a werewolf's needs (please note: wolfsbane & silver bullets not included).

In other news, we've just had a fresh new batch of bags delivered to us in a beautiful premium blue design. They'll be available to purchase very soon, so don't forget to make like a zombie and keep an eye out for them.

Until next time,
Creepy-Crawly Cara

Win Tickets to Discover Dogs

Discover Dogs is a fantastic annual dog show run by the Kennel Club in Earls Court London and 2011 promises to be as good, if not better, than ever.  Whether you have been before and are keen to go again or  fancy going along for your first look you can enter a competition being run by Xtra Dog in conjuction with the Kennel Club to win tickets to Discover dogs 2011.

We will be on the Xtra Dog stand again this year, stand 162, and as always we look forward to meeting all our Dicky Disciples and those not yet converted to the brilliance of Dicky Bags.  IF you've been looking at them on our website this is your chance to get your hands on one, it always suprises people when they have their first squish!

Being held on the 12th and 13th November makes it the perfect time to start that Christmas shopping for your dog owning freinds and family, and we've got our lovely new packaging which makes it look all that bit more special. You will feel good giving a Dicky Bag as a gift becuase not only will it be the most useful present they've ever been bought but you are buying a British made product, from a small British company, employing British workers - let's boost our own economy!

At Discover Dogs not only can you meet over 200 breeds of dog but you can see some of the amazing jobs our unsung canine heroes get up to.  We are proud sponsors of Bio-detection and cancer dogs who allow people to lead more normal lives through their ability to detect potentially life threatenting chemical changes in their owners bodies.

If you are considering welcoming a dog into your life you will be able to get invaluable advice about which dog will be best suited to your life style and you will also be able to see an aray of fantastic gadgets and gizmos that have been designed to help you and entertain your dogs, but aren't necessarily stocked by the major retail outlets.

Dicky Bag Awards "The Dickies" 2011

After much heartache and colourful language we have finally been able to upload our first ever Dicky Bag Awards Ceremony aptly named "The Dickies".  To prove we are a family buisness in the truest sense of the word the whole ceremony was created, filmed and edited by my 3 fantastic sons. I hope you enjoy their efforts.  A congratulations to all the winners and if you weren't lucky enough to be one of the winners go ahead and treat yourself to a much more pleasant walk with you dog and family with a Dicky Bag, the civilised way to carry dog poop.

Top Rated Product!

I recently purchased a dicky bag (dog poo bag!) online as it seemed the answer to all of my poop scooping problems (no bins on walks, clutching a tesco carrier bag blatantly full of crap - you know how it is! )

Excellent product

We love these messages - even the professionals are using our dog walking bags! Smile

"To the Dicky bag team.  I am a professional dog walker and  have bought products before which you use to carry your dogs No2's in and have given up with them with in a couple of days as they have always been so impractical to use.  I must say I have been using my Dicky bag for 3 weeks now and love it!

I like the idea of carrying spare bags in the top although I take them off the roll before hand and push them in to the slot.  The bag is discreet and so much better than when I had pooh bags swinging from my hip! Read more
It's hard to stop people borrowing it! I won a Dicky bag at alocal dog show, having never heard of the company before I didn't know just how great this product was. We take our bag to every show, walk and journey and it really is brilliant. You wouldn't know what it contained and I honestly couldn't live without our now! My mum and sister are having one each for christmas they are amazed. I keep having to ask for my bag back from my sister who tries stealing it on a regular basis!
Thanks to all at Dicky Bags for making our life easier, less embarrasing and more convient. Dicky bags make being a responsible dog owner stylish and cool!
