Pup Aid 2011

It's a busy weekend, Paws in the Park on Saturday 17th Sept and then we will mosey on down to Sunny (hopefully) Brighton on Sunday 18th September for the coolest dog event in the country.

Organised by TV Vet Marc Abraham and suported by his many celebrity friends Pup Aid is a mix of dog events and music and raises money to help stop the cruel parctice of puppy farming.

Fancy getting involved tfhen get yourself down to stanmere house and gardens near Brighton this Sunday 9am - 7pm.

paws in the park 2011

On our way to Paws in the Park which has moved this year to the Kent Showground and it promises to be bigger and better than ever.

You can come and she myself and Barry at the Xtra Dog stand to talk about all the CRAP in your life!

Flyball teams can come and see our special bespoke dicky bags we have made for the Ready 2 Fly team and put in orders for their own team bags, after all you want to be concentrating on winning not carrying poo.

You can aaslo go along to the NSARDA stand and let you dog have a go at search and rescue, you might even be lucky enough to win your own Dicky Bag.

Why not keep an eye out for the Cancer and Bio detection dogs and the Kent Lowlands search and rescue team both of whom we proudly sponsor to help them with their great work.

Dicky Bag Awards "The Dickies" 2011

After much heartache and colourful language we have finally been able to upload our first ever Dicky Bag Awards Ceremony aptly named "The Dickies".  To prove we are a family buisness in the truest sense of the word the whole ceremony was created, filmed and edited by my 3 fantastic sons. I hope you enjoy their efforts.  A congratulations to all the winners and if you weren't lucky enough to be one of the winners go ahead and treat yourself to a much more pleasant walk with you dog and family with a Dicky Bag, the civilised way to carry dog poop.

winter competition

Want to win a Dicky Bag?

Our winter wonderland competition ran and was judged last year, but partly thanks to the bad weather, we have had some new fantastic entries this year so we will be giving away another dicky bag to the best picture.

If you've got a great picture of your pooch enjoying (or not) the snow lurking on your phone or camera get it uploaded on our competiton page before the end of June for your chance to win.

A real holiday with dogs

If you are looking to get away with your dogs, i've found the perfect place!

Out in the Open campsite don't just tolerate dogs, they welcome them making sure they have plenty of space to run off lead in their own designated field which is mown regularly to reduce the risk of ticks.   A truely dog friendly campsite, they can even help arrange local doggy daycare for days you don't want to take them with you.  There are numerous footpaths and bridleways which lead past the campsite so the car can stay parked.

Jester, the resident dog host, gives every dog a warm welcome and is happy to show them (or chase them) around the field.

This campsite is truly out in the open, surrounded by nothing but rolling hills and and open moorland.  There are no dodgy pitches and definitely no road noise, the nearest country lane being over 400 yards away.  Set inbetween Falmouth and Helston you won't be short of places to visit, that is if you can manage to tear yourself away from your ideallic surrounding.

Testimonials

I have had my Dicky bag a while now and I have not had a single split poo bag since. I store a ball in it when we set off; the dog carries the ball home and by then the bag is full of poo.

I have the extra large bag 2 collies and a heinz 57 it is easily big enough. Most impressivly, I forgot to empty it last monday and 7 days later the smell had STILL not escaped from the bag!

I am so impressed with the bag that I have stopped people on walks who are struggling with poo bags to tell them about it.

You must remember to grip the air freshener when you empty it though or it ends up in the bin with the poo.
