We Love Bacon Doggie Treats
5 cups of flour - sieved
2 eggs - mixed well
1/2 cup of water
1 cup of milk
2/3 cup of bacon fat
Pinch of salt
Method:
Mix all of the ingredients into a dough and mould into treats suitable for your dog size. Place on a greased oven tray and back in the oven at 180c / 350f / gas mark 4 for 40 minutes or until crisp.
Doggie Treat Cake
2 eggs
2 cups flour
2 ripe bananas - mashed
½ cup butter
1 ¼ cup of water
2 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp of cinnamon
½ cup of raisins
Method:
Beat the butter and the banana in a bowl until creamy. Add the eggs and water and beat well. Sieve the flour into the mixture, add the baking powder and cinnamon and fold into the mixture until smooth. Fold in the raisins.
Turn into greased & floured 20cm cake pan. Bake for about 40 mins at 180c / 350f / gas mark 4 . Allow to cool for 15 mins before removing from pan.
Optional icing:
1 ripe banana - mashed
¼ cup low fat cream cheese
3 tbsp flour
1 tbs cinnamon
Blend thoroughly & spread on cake
